Our Story - It Takes a Village
Through the ages, communal reliance was the winning strategy that allowed humanity to survive and thrive. Industrialization and globalization marginalized communal safety networks and diminished the basic human sense of morals and unity. This left us unprepared to answer one of the defining moral and humanitarian crisis of the coming age: The global forced displacement crisis. Wars, climate change, human rights violations and macro-political movements are driving accelerated growth in the number of forcefully displaced people, all around the globe. This number doubled in the last 2 years and is expected to reach 1 billion by 2050.
Humans have a basic instinct to help people in need, near them. Our aim is to help communities re-establish their local village safety-network, galvanizing to help souls in need, among and around them. The New Village can be anywhere. It is using technology and data to be effective, easier to use and scale faster. It includes every person, organization, local business, tech startup, corporate or authority that can have a positive contribution and is willing to join.
